IMPORTANT REMINDER! You may recall our post from August 2009, alerting you to a media change from CD to DVD for Sage Timberline Office Accounting and Estimating products in 2010. Well, the time has come! Sage Timberline Office Version 9.7 will be distributed in DVD format only (except Residential Management, Document Management and some peripheral products still distributed on CD). Please discuss any necessary changes with your IT professional so you can avoid suprises when you are ready to upgrade.

My Assistant is the “alerts” system for Sage Timberline Office. It emails reminders, reports, and alerts when your defined conditions are triggered in the software. Examples include:
- Weekly cost report run and emailed to project managers,
- Reminder that submittals are overdue,
- Notification that a commitment or cost code is over budget or that a payment is late,
- Email to an employee with a PDF attachment of that employee’s direct deposit paystub.
The possibilities of for proactive notification are endless . . . with endless possibilities to help your people better manage the business, and to help cut costs (viz. the direct deposit notifications)!
A new feature in just-released MyAssistant 4.1 is causing a lot of excitement. 4.1 includes the new Email Directories feature. Formerly known as Roles, Email Directories allow users to easily send recipients, such as project or property managers, their notifications without entering email addresses in Timberline.
This makes the initial configuration of My Assistant even easier. Bad for consultants . . . great for you!
